All shifts have a dedicated Senior Supervisor who possesses at least Grade B Security Officers training and may also have an armed response grading. The Senior Supervisor is responsible for managing the entire shift and reports to the Head Of Operations serving at a senior management level.
Security Officers and Armed Response Officers are often the first personal contact on site should something adverse occur on a client site. Due to the nature of their work, they often operate in high-risk conditions and sometimes have to deal with life threatening situations. As a result, we ensure that the Security Officers and Armed Response Officers are very well trained and extremely well equipped. The Armed Response Officers have at least Grade C Security Officers training as well as an Armed Response grading. They have also completed a first aid medical course as well as basic firefighting skills training. Armed Response Officers also undergo extensive firearms training and undergo regular shooting sessions to ensure that they are more than capable of protecting themselves and the lives of our clients. The Armed Response Officers also have to adhere to certain proscribed physical training requirements to ensure that they are physically fit and prepared to attend to emergency situations.
The Control Room Operators or Senior Supervisors are responsible for continuous monitoring of Security Officer activity on all sites. They are also responsible for making contact with a particular nominated contact person of the client or the client him or herself once a situation is reported on the client's site. The Control Room Operators or Senior Supervisors are also responsible for dispatching the armed response services to client sites where needed.
Senior Supervisors are also responsible for reviewing reports produced by the electronic guard monitoring and traicking systems that we employ to ensure that the Security Officers on our client sites perform at the levels required in our Service Level Agreements.
