Identity Access Management

As a single security solution provider, TSSS provides clients with an array of ancillary services to ensure that our clients are always protected to industry best practice.

Identity Access Management is a series of generic services, concepts, processes and controls, designed to manage the access control systems of our clients to ensure that these systems remain in-tact, trustworthy and up to date resulting in access being controlled and granted only to authorised persons or vehicles. Automated access control systems are only as effective, efficient and restrictive as the underlying data supporting the system allows it to be. Outdated or inaccurate underlying data pose a significant risk to any automated access control system as this could result in the system failing to sufficiently restrict access.

Identity Access Management involves the outsourcing of the day-to-day operations of the access control system to TSSS while the client remains the custodian of such systems. The responsibility of ensuring the integrity of the underlying data supporting the access control systems then lies with TSSS while the responsibility for ensuring that the access control system is in working order remains with the client. The cost of the services are charged at a fixed monthly cost based on head count (in respect of corporate clients) and based on residential unit count (in respect of residential estates). The cost of hardware (in cases where remote controls are in use) are borne by the client who may in turn pass this cost on to the employee, resident or user.

Identity Access Management includes the following:
· Use of standard access request forms provided by TSSS to be completed by employees, residents or users;
· Collection of and safekeeping of supporting documentation in respect of the request for access;
· Verification of access request and supporting documentation by TSSS with the assistance of client HR or client management agent and property owners;
· Upon successful verification, the automated access control system is updated with details and access is granted by TSSS;
· Where applicable, RF ID Cards/ disks/ remotes are ordered from suppliers by TSSS, and are supplied to employees, residents or users, recovering the cost thereof from the responsible party;
· Automated Access Control system database is reviewed through a comprehensive user audit on an annual basis to ensure data currency and integrity;
· Dormant Bio-Metric Fingerprints, RF ID Cards, disks, remotes and access credentials are de-activated if not used for a period of 90 days (Access Control System dependent).
